As I have written about before, Albuquerque has a wonderful BioPark. Well this time of year the BioPark does some extra special stuff. They fill the area with Christmas lights known as The River of Lights. Now I am not sure where the name comes from, since there is no river. They do have a pond like thing but no river. I am guess that maybe it started out as lights by the Rio Grande river and were moved to a more visitor friendly place the BioPark. But do not quote me on that. Anyways, last night we met up with our friends Melinda and Sarah, husbands and kiddos included, and took a stroll through the lights. When we arrived it did not seem very cold, well I was wrong. I almost lost a few toes to frost bite, despite having on close to 10 layers of clothing. I did my usual complaining but we still had fun. The lights were so pretty!
Here are some pictures I was able to snap when my fingers were still working.

All Braylon wanted to do was walk around. However, there were so many people that we did not let him. Plus being that it was dark and he is a fast runner, it would not have been the best idea. He did get to walk a little bit but it was cold and mommy and daddy were ready to head home and get warm. We did stay for over an hour though. We had a lot of fun. I love seeing him respond to each new thing he sees. And he loved the lights!
