Well, our first year of Santa has been a success! Braylon made out with all of the goodies this year (like it should be). This year was so much fun and I know that each year it is going to get better and better!
Our Christmas actually started on Christmas eve. Colin's mom, Anne, came over around four and we had an big Italian dinner and I made key lime fudge (more on that in a baking post). We sat around and talked. It was so nice. (In years to come I would love to do the lights on Christmas eve, but he is a little too small still). Anne stayed the night so that Braylon could open presents immediately! Then Braylon went down and Santa came...
Here are some pictures of our Christmas

Luckily, Braylon did not wake up until 7am. I know that this will be one of the very few years that we will get to sleep in that much. I remember waking up at 4am and we would have to wait until five to open. I have a feeling that will be happening very soon. Braylon came down and went straight to the tree. It was like he knew something had taken place last night. He unwrapped every gift, with a little encouragement. We had been telling him to not unwrap them for so long that I think he was worried he would get in trouble. Plus he wanted to stop and play with every gift! It would have taken hours if we let that happen!

Traditions are VERY important to me. I really want Braylon to have experiences that remind him of the holidays. Well my dad every year would put the lifesaver books in our stockings. So this year we did the same for Braylon. His are the gummies because I do not feel the hard ones are 'safe' for him yet.

Finally, everything was opened and paper was everywhere. Just the way it should be on Chrsitmas morning!
Colin and I got something that I have been wanting for such a long time....
Yep that is right a KitchenAid Mixer! I am so happy! I have already made mashed potatoes in it. I cannot wait for all the baking to be done with this.
Actually, I do have the perfect gift...
What a sweet and funny little boy. I am so blessed that he choose me to be his mommy. And that I get to watch him grow everyday. Oh and another great thing is that having him allows for the magic of Santa to be felt again. I had a hard time sleeping last night because I was so excited for this morning. I was excited for him to get all his gifts!
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that everyone had the perfect day. I know that sure did.
