2011

2011 is about to be over in a few hours. I cannot believe how fast the year flew by. I feel like it was just yesterday that it was January and I had a three month old. I have to say that this has been one of my best years yet. Nothing particular fantastic happened but a lot of really good things did.

In 2011 I met some of the most amazing woman I have ever met. I believe that fate had us all have babies near each other so that we would find each other. These woman have become an amazing support system to me. I love how different we are. They have helped me so much with my transition to working mom so far and I know they will play a vital role in it in the months to come. I hope that I have helped them as much too. I also love being around different parenting styles. I feel I learn so much from watching them with their children. Thank you!

2011 also brought my nephew Liam and my sister into motherhood. Although I wish we lived closer it has been great to go though this journey with her. I am glad that Braylon has so many cousins so close in age.

2011 was filled with Gymboree, zoo trips, aquarium adventures, running, swimming and parks. I even hiked a mountain with Braylon on my back. If I had to pick my favorite adventures it would have to be running and swimming. I think I gave birth to a fish. This little boy lives for the water. So much so we even made a trip today to the aquatic center! I loved running. It really showed me how strong I am and that I could exercise with Braylon. It also brought me closer to Melinda. I really value the friendship we have developed. I love watching Braylon and Tanner play. Those boys are too funny together!

We moved in 2011. Colin landed his dream job, firefighter-paramedic in Rio Rancho. I finally had millions of interviewers and was hired at Central New Mexico Community College. Braylon turned one. And we had an amazing holiday season.

I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store for us. I have a feeling that we are in for another great year. And ya know what, if we have rough times then bring it. I am ready for the new year!

And you know what, 2011 brought the KitchenAid Mixer to me. So 2012 will for sure be sweet!
