Day 24: Something I have Learned

Well, if you know me I am full of useless information. So I guess I have learned a lot. However, recently I have learned some of life's larger lessons. For instance, do not sweat the small stuff. I use to be a worry wort. However, since Braylon all that worrying has taken a back seat to my life. Now do not get me wrong, I still worry. It is just more on the important stuff and less on the will I wake up on time or what am I going to have for lunch. The small stuff does not seem to matter very much. In the beginning of February I noticed that my car needed new breaks. On my way to the shop, my front right tire blew (luckily Braylon was in Colin's car following me). On top of the breaks my car now needed four new tires, new rooters and some gripping thing was busted. In one morning I spent roughly 2,000 fixing my car. Now first off I have had my car for almost five years and I have yet to have to fix it. This was the first money I had put into my car other than gas. A few years ago I would have been pissed for a day or so at the money I had to spend. Not now. Since having Braylon and going through my dad stuff, it did not phase me. Everyone was healthy and alive. Things could have been much worse. I could have blew a tire with Braylon in the car on the freeway. Things could have ended differently. I am lucky that nothing bad happened. I have learned that things could be much worse and to look at what you do have rather than what is missing.
