So Braylon has a new trick. He has started to army crawl. This all started yesterday while we were at a play date. We went to my friend Stephanie's house to play with her daughter Annabelle and another mom, Jenny, and her son Eric. We had a blast. We had some lunch, talked about being a mommy and took a beautiful walk through the Los Lunas bosque. I cannot wait until we get together again. We are going to try to get weekly or bi-weekly. Our babies are all born five days from each other. Eric was born on September 11, Braylon the 16th and Annabelle the 21st. It was so interesting watching three babies so close in age all at different points developmentally. Anyway, while we were there Braylon started to army crawl in order to get close to the other babies. He seems to really like to play and touch other babies now. I was totally blown away by this crawling effort to get to them! When we got home he did it again a few more times. He really has to want something in order to go for it. Today at Gymboree he did it a few more times. He really wanted the bean bags that we were playing with. I feel so proud of my little five pound preemie. In his group of friends at Gymboree of babies 6 to 10 months only one baby is crawling. Braylon is now the second youngest in the class and he is the second crawler. I am so proud of my little guy. However, on the other side of this I know that real crawling is not far away for us. I have been told I have about two weeks before he is completely mobile. I am not ready for him to be crawling everywhere. I am not ready to have to follow him everywhere. Also, I have done NOTHING to baby proof my place. I guess I better get on it. My long to-do list has now just got a whole lot long.
Here are some pictures of the play date of the September 2010 babies...

Me and Braylon had a blast. I cannot wait until we can get these three kiddos together again. Here is to hoping we have started some lifelong friendships!
PS: I am trying to get a video to show you all how he crawls.
