Six months

I cannot believe that it has already been six months since Braylon was born. Time is going by way to fast! Everyday he is changing more and more and doing new things. At six months he has two teeth. He has been eating solids for a little of a month and is quite the eater. We are now up to eating three times a day. He loves his cereals and all fruits and veges so far. I am going to introduce foods to him that I do not like, peas, and let him make his own decision on it. I do not want him to miss out on a food just because I do not particularly care for it. He has started grabbing his feet more and rolling.Anything that is near him he reaches for. Mealtime has gotten even messier because he reaches for the spoon and tries to put in his mouth by himself. Needless to say it gets everywhere but his mouth. Due to this and the fact that he is just a very messy eater, we strip him down to just a diaper to feed him and then he gets a bath every night. His food has a way of finding its way into his neck and arm creases. He still loves to cuddle and is still sleeping in bed with us. He has been pushing up to stand since he was three months or so but now he hangs on to his exersaucer while standing on the outside of it. It is like it is a whole different set of toys from this viewpoint. We had to get him a bigger bath because he is growing like a little weed. Oh he will sort of reach for us to pick him up when he is ready to get out of the exersaucer. Before too long he is going to be saying 'up'. He is really close to sitting on his own. He will sit for a little inside of his boppy and then tumble over. He is getting strong and I can see him getting the hang of sitting every day!

We have his six month doctor appointment tomorrow so we will have his weight and height stats then. I am excited to find this out. I want to know if he is still in the 90 percentiles for his age. My little preemie has come such a long way. We will also know if his is on track with his developmental stuff. I have a feeling he is but if not then oh well. All babies are different. I will add an up date to this tomorrow...

STATS UPDATE!!!!
Braylon weighs 16 pounds and 12 ounces, is 26.5 inches long and his head is 17.5 inches. He had a gain of two pounds and an inch in the last two months.  He is in the 50th percentile for length and the 25th for weight. The doctor says that he looks great and is going well. Also he did great with his shots, only crying for shot two and three. ALL of the nurses LOVED him. They wanted to keep him for the day because he is such a happy, good baby.

Okay and now for the pictures!

Six month and 5 day old Braylon
He loves biting his lower lip.

Too cute.

I can stand.
