Day 8: A Place I Have Traveled to

I have been a lot of places, just no where outside of the US (expect Mexico). When I was younger we went on a lot of family vacations. I have been to Orlando, Florida, Hawaii, San Francisco, Phoenix, everywhere on the coast of California (and all the big and small cities there.). We would go to Tahoe once a year when I was about ten and older. Growing up in California we went to a lot of places. However, my favorite place was a vacation my family and our friends went on when I was 16. We did a week house boat trip on Lake Powell in Arizona. At 16 in the middle of the summer, the idea of not having cell phone reception and no TV, would mean death. However, it was the BEST time I have ever had. We were away from the world it felt like and were just doing our own thing. We played in the water all day long and stayed up late talking. It was amazing. Three years later we rented a house on the beach in Hawaii with the same friends. Once again we had a great time. I am not a great traveler and love to be at home, but these two trips were so much fun. They taught me that it is not the place that matters but it is about who you are with. I am excited to take Braylon on vacations that he will always remember. I want to do the Disney cruse when he is three. I cannot wait to see his little face light up when he gets to see his favorite characters for the first time!
