Ahh

ONE WEEK! Oh my only one week until Braylon's first birthday. I cannot believe that it is already here! Part of me is a little sad that my baby is getting so big. But then I have this conflicting side that is really excited. As he grows, he is becoming a more active participant in the world around him. He is taking in new experiences and enjoying learning about new things. I am beyond excited for this holiday season for that very reason. Last year he just sat there and took everything in through his eyes. This year he will be able to explore it all actively.

To show Braylon some new things in the world and so that mommy could eat some great food, we headed to the State Fair today with Melinda, Tanner, Stephanie and Annabelle. Braylon had a blast to say the very least. He loved looking at the animals. Now it is true that we go to the zoo a lot, so he has seen a lot of animals. But he has never been able to get this close.
Look mom little chicks!

So happy

That is a big cow!

Braylon and Annabelle looking at the goats!

After spending some time looking at the animals we headed over to the Pee wee Stampede. It was a rodeo with little kids riding stick ponies. It had to be the cutest thing we have ever saw! I cannot wait until Braylon is three so I can sign him up for this for sure!

Braylon was glued to the kids.

Time out for a picture with mom!
After we left the fair we headed over to the Flying Star in Corralas for some much needed dessert with Melinda and Tanner. We got our pieces of cake and decided to sit outside so the boys could roam. Well, they roamed straight to the water! These two sure do love the water.

Braylon was trying to climb in!

Look at how wet he is,

Too excited that mom is letting him play in the water.

They put Braylon's shoe in the pond!

These two are nothing but boy! It was so funny to watch them play in the water!

Our trip to the fair and for dessert showed me that while I am sad for my little guy to turn one, I am actually very excited to show him more of the world and to get to explore with him!
