Swimming

Today Braylon we swimming for the first time. Albuquerque has a number of city swimming facilities all over town. I believe there are three indoor/year-round pools and close to ten outdoor pools. This past weekend was the start of the outdoor swimming season. So today Braylon and I headed over to one of the outdoor pools with our friends Annabelle and Stephanie. I did not think that it was going to be as much fun to take Braylon in the pool. We do not have a float device for him and I was to carry him the whole time (they have an infant pool, but it was getting cleaned). I was wrong. It was a great time. Braylon LOVES bath time so I was hoping he would also love the pool. I was right. He had a blast. He giggled and splashed. He kept trying to drink the water. That was funny! I was even brave enough to blow on his face and dunk him in the water. (babies have a reflex to hold their breath if you blow on them, it held up for Braylon). We only stayed for two hours because by 3pm it was getting packed with so many other kids in the pool. I did not get any in the water photos, or any of him and Annabelle, but I did get some before shots.

I get to go swimming.

All ready.
Okay, I am just going to go get in on my own.

While we were at the pool we signed up for baby and mom swim lessons. I know he will not get a lot out of them but I am looking forward to learning some ways to get him use to the water and some skills that I can teach him. We are taking the class with Annabelle and Stephanie too. It should be a lot of fun. Oh and we are heading back on Friday for another afternoon in the water and sun. This time we are coming with lunch and floaties for the kids. Now only if we could have a nice cold cocktail to enjoy too. I almost forgot, one of the best parts was Braylon was asleep before we even made it out of the parking lot. Yay, for tired out babies!
