Zoo Day

Today, we met up with some friends and hung out at the zoo. Our friends Kim and Lyle had invited us and we were told we were meeting at 1. Well at 11 I get a text from Kim saying they were there. I ran around the house making sandwiches and putting together our supply bag. I get a follow up text saying April Fools! She got me good that is for sure. We ended up meeting at our regularly scheduled time and had a blast. Braylon and I have not been to the zoo since the end of summer. He wasn't walking and getting him in and out of the stroller was a pain. Today was a different experience. We got there and had a picnic lunch with all of the buddies. The boys had a blast running in the grass and chasing each other.

 It seems as if the zoo was trying to help grow some more green stuff and they had a huge section roped off. Well, that is where my kid wanted to be...

Once he figured out how to over the roping, he kept going. After about four runs through the no no area, we decided that it was time to go see some animals. We headed over to the big cats. Braylon has just learned how to roar like a lion. He kept doing it and even had a claw had going too. It was so funny.

It is a pain to get him in and out of his stroller. Not to mention that he hates the in and out, in and out so I decided to try letting him hold my hand and walk. He did great. I am still shocked that he held my hand so well and stayed right by me.

After the cats we headed over to the polar bears. They were in true form and performing for all the people watching them. The boys got a nice view of the show.

Then we headed over to the sea otters. The boys were having a blast watching the otters, or fishes, in the water.

Look at that picture! I think Braylon and Tanner finally like each other! Yay! Oh and we did have one more attendant but she slept in her car seat all afternoon. Which was probably really good, considering I have baby fever bad.

We had a great afternoon and we are now Zoo members too. It took less than five minutes for Braylon to pass out. Oh how I love the naps that the zoo induce!
