For two years today was a sad for me. However, this year I get to push the sadness aside and focus on the happy. This is Colin and Braylon's first father's day. When I was pregnant I wondered what kind of mother I would be and also what kind of father Colin would be. Well, Braylon is one lucky little boy. He has a father who really loves him (and a mother too, but this post is not about me. I know shocker!). Colin loves playing with Braylon, seeing him develop and learn new things. I think one of his favorite things is putting Braylon down to sleep and having him cuddle onto his chest. As he has gotten older that happens less and less. When Braylon is all cuddled up he refuses to do anything that MIGHT wake him. If the TV is not on, then it stays off. If he has to go to the bathroom, then he holds it. Braylon has been known to sleep for three plus hours like that! Also, it is the cutest thing when Colin comes home from work. Braylon sees him, or even just his car, and lights up. He get a huge smile and starts to giggle. Then Colin HAS to pick Braylon up instantly, or there is a meltdown, and cannot let him go. For a good two hours after getting home Braylon cries if he is not near or being held by his daddy. The funny thing is that Colin never wanted to have children. For him, the world is becoming too bad and he was also scared of the responsibility of raising a child. I think Braylon has officially changed Colin's mind. That little boy has his daddy wrapped around his finger and it is too cute to see. Sometimes Braylon just follows Colin around the house watching and wanting to do everything that Colin does. It is adorable!
In celebration Braylon got Colin a book from
flattenme.com called My Superhero Dad and the book
Go The F*CK to Sleep (the funniest book ever. A MUST read!!). Unfortunately, Colin has the work today but we will be having a bbq for him with just the three of us when he gets home. And then on Tuesday night we will be going to a baseball game (Braylon's first!). I am hoping that he enjoys the day!
Now I could not post pictures :) So here are pictures of father and son together. Enjoy!
