Liam's Baby Shower

Braylon and I came out to California for the weekend so I could host my younger sisters baby shower. She is having a boy at the end of February and will be naming him Liam. The past two years have been filled with Grandchildren (On my side three new ones and on Colin's  four in just one year!) My sister has had an opposite pregnancy than me. She was sick, things hurt a lot more has generally not enjoyed it. I on the other hand had some pregnancy issues with pain and sleep and swelling but I loved being pregnant (I sometimes miss my big belly). Yesterday, we had the baby shower and I must say Liam got a lot of adorable stuff. We played a few games (baby in the ice cube, how big is her belly, guess what is in the diaper and guess the date that Liam will be born), had some appetizers and cake for Eddies bakery (It was yummy!). We had a packed house with roughly 35 friends and family coming out to bless Liam with wonderful gifts. In addition, Braylon sort of stole the show! He was so good. He loves to be held and so he made his rounds through the lines of people wanting the cuddle with him. He talked for them and then passed out on two different people with no help needed. I really do have an amazingly good baby. All in all it was a great but tiring day.

Here are some pictures!

The sign we made

This is Braylon's hand. Lets just say me and him were blue for some time afterwards!

The tables.

The diaper cake center pieces and dog bowls for candy.

The great cake from Eddies! The dog matches the one on the invitation!

Alyx with her gifts.

And with the cake.

Me, Alyx and Braylon.

After the shower we went home to relax and Alyx decided to let nesting kick right in. She open up everything and put it together plus organized and put away all of his clothes. One good thing was that she got a jumparoo that Braylon officially approves of and have made friends with those animals too! It looks like the next time we are in town Alyx will be a new mother, Liam will be here and her 'new normal' life will be starting!
