This morning we met up with Braylon's friends Tanner and Audrey to listen to a story teller at the Corrales library. In September we went to a reading time and it was a complete disaster! Braylon and Tanner re-arranged the entire library. We left knowing they were not old enough to sit through stories at the library.
Five months later, we thought that they would be ready. We thought that they would at least sit for one story. That did not happen! There were about 50 people there to hear the story teller. Most of the children were four years older than ours. Braylon did sit for a little bit.
He had no interest in sitting on the carpet with the other kids. He wanted to sit in the pint size chair instead.
That scene did not last long. He was off exploring the library. Eventually, we all wondered outside and headed over to the play ground. The kids had a blast climbing the stairs to the play ground and sliding. They even all sat on the tire swing. Funny enough it was Audrey who lasted the longest in the swing. Both boys bailed FAST. She is quite the daredevil of the little group. It amazes me every time we go to the park and she climbs up tot he highest slide and slides without hesitation. I have a feeling she will be giving these boys a run for their money for years to come!
Ahhhh love it! In a few years they will love story tellers. You forgot to mention Audrey's epic fall after riding the tire. Face plant in the wood chips. Haha! We had a great time at the park and I like that we can let them explore now without having to be at their side 24/7.
ReplyDeleteHaha maybe by summer they will be able to sit longer! The park was fun and Audrey needs to teach these boys how it's done!! I see more park dates in our future!
ReplyDeleteYaah I love that they can play without us right behind them. I did forget about Audrey's fall opps.
