Double Date

Happy month of love! We started out this month right with a double date. Now the date grouping is not what you would first guess. It was not me and Colin that met  up with another couple. It was Me and Braylon. And it was not with another "couple" per say it was with Melinda and Tanner. And it was perfect! Both big boys had prior engagements. Melinda's husband, Morgan, has been out of town for work this week. And well Colin was on shift last night. So after work I picked up my date, got a movie and dessert and headed over to Melindas house where she and her date were waiting with pizza and salad. We got a chance to talk and catch up, since me working has really been cutting into our girl time. I think I need to bring it up to my boss that she and her schedule is dampening my personal life :) Anyway we ate some pizza and salad. And the boys played! Oh and we were actually able to watch the movie and know what was happening (well for most of it). Plus it seemed to work out that what I missed, Melinda caught and vice versa. It really was a perfect little date night!

Oh and the icing on the cake. Braylon was up past his typically bed time, he was not fussy though and he basically slept through the night once we got home! WIN. The night also did something else for me. Usually when I get Braylon for daycare, he is super fussy and clingy to me ALL.NIGHT.LONG. And he wants to go to bed at six and we do not get home until 520ish. Well, last nigh he was up until nine. He was not fussy or clingy. I actually got to enjoy my kid, play with him and love on him. It was exactly what this now working mama needed!

The big boys need to be out of town more often. Or I guess they could watch the little boys and me and Melinda can watch a whole movie all the way through! Oh the small joys in life :)

In other big news, Braylon finally had a GREAT day at daycare! Yay! I get stressed about the days we take him. It makes it hard to hear your child crying bloody murder as you walk down the hall to a nine hour work day. he still cried when I left yesterday. However, when I arrived to pick him all of the teachers told me that he had a great day and that he really likes his teacher Ms. Diana. He only cried when I left him. That is great news. As we head into our second month at Springstone, I am encouraged that we made the right choice and that he is learning and growing so much there. Today, Braylon did cry when I left however this was the scene before...
He has NEVER gone off and played in the room with me there! This is encouraging news on so many levels!

I hope everyone has a great day!
