Money, Money, Money

Today it was all about money. Last week I was driving and when I went to break I noticed a grinding noise. Well it only happened once so I was not sure if it was all in my mind or if my breaks were really grinding. So yesterday Braylon and I were out running some errands and I noticed it again. I could tell that it was in my back passenger tire. Today we got up and I decided that I need to take my car in and get it fixed. Well, I was on my way there and I noticed this odd sad while I was driving. Thinking that it was squeaking breaks, I turned down the radio and rolled down my window. Nope not squeaking breaks but in fact a flat tire! Luckily, I was where I needed to be. When the shop was checking out my breaks the owner informed me that my alignment was off which was making my tires wear fast. I had two other tires that were about to go and the forth was very close too. Nothing in the break department was salvageable!!!!! So as they started to fix my breaks, Colin, Braylon and I went all over tires. We ended up at Discount Tires and got the tires and had to take them back to the wheel shop so they could finish my alignment. Oh and the screen for my laptop finally came in so I had to take that to the shop to get it fixed too.

All of the unexpected expenses of the day got me thinking. This is what the REST of my life is going to be like! If its not the car then it will be the house. If not the house then it will be Braylon. If not Braylon then the dog and so on.... This will be the never ending cycle of my life. As stressful as this can sound and as overwhelming as the thought of it can be, it seems as if everyone goes through this. And if generations of people have survived then so can I. Oh and it helps to keep thinking that things could always be worse. I have my health, I have a happy and thriving baby boy and my family is all doing well too.

Today, definitely did not end the way I thought it would. I thought that I was a little ahead of the break issue and that it would be a cheap fix. I did not think that my tire was going to blow (even though Colin has been telling me since before Braylon was born that it was low). I guess though that not many days end as one expects them to. I guess I can be happy that it did not end badly. Oh a plus for the day was that I got the back of my iphone cover fixed (and for 29 dollars only!). Yay me! Oh and I learned how to shoot videos on my phone so that they would not have the black strips down either side (it was an easy fix.. flip the phone while taking the video).
