While most people say, let the holidays happen one at a time. Thanksgiving has not happened and Christmas needs to wait until after November 23rd. I am not of that crowd. I say bring on all the Christmas stuff! I have always loved this season of the year, I mean the most important day ever is during it, my birthday. The holidays are so much fun, with so many things to do and see. This year I am excited for Braylon to be an active participant in the celebrations. I have a feeling that our Christmas tree will need to take self defense classes. Braylon is going to think it is a toy for him, I mean I let him literally play with almost everything else. Plastic ornaments here we come!
Last year I did not buy Braylon any Christmas gifts. I know, bad mom. Well, in my defense he had everything he needed. He was only three months old. I bought clothes all the time for him and was not going to wait for a day that made no difference to him to give them to him. Mine and Colin's family bought him stuff, so it was not like he got nothing. I was just into going over the top for him yet. Growing up we had MASSIVE Christmas's and Braylon will get the same experience. I have already started buying for him. I am so glad we now have a toy room, because he has so many toys already that. Like most little boys he loves cars and anything with wheels. My mom got him these cute cars that go on their own for his birthday. I plan on completing the set for him.
Some of the things I am looking forward to.
- Thanksgiving Day, eating, family and the parade
- Christmas day
- Making cookies for Santa
- Taking Braylon to see Santa
- Taking Braylon to look at lights
- Having a Christmas party
- Baking yummy goods
- New Year's Eve
- Shopping for my list
- I would love to take Braylon down Christmas Tree Lane, looks like an attempt to get to Fresno then is in order!
- Going to the River of Lights with the Family
I know I will think of so many more things that I want to do this Holiday season. Oh I really am so excited! I just wish more family could be around for these celebrations with him. I guess video chatting will have to do.
