Thanks to the wonderful, yet completely addicting site Pinterest I have been baking once again. With Thanksgiving just a little over two weeks away, I have to the recipes I want to bake worked out. So that I do not kill anyone. I did that one Christmas with an attempt at a French Silk Pie. So anyway this Pinterest site has pushed me to start trying to bake again. I have so far made five things in the last two weeks from this site. Today I tried my hand at a Sweet Potato Pie. Colin had it once and thought it would be good on Thanksgiving if I could find the right recipe. Well, today I found one and I just happened to have all the ingredients on hand. So I went to town baking. It was not difficult in the slightest! And I would have to say that it was pretty good too. Braylon even liked it. Okay who am I kidding, that kid will eat ANYTHING. It reminded me of pumpkin pie in a way. We paired it with homemade vanilla bean whip cream. I am not sure if this will make the final dessert cut for Thanksgiving. We are not having a lot of people over, so only the very best will make it. And the cheesecake from last week is winning in the polls still.
At any rate, I think I am going to need to get bigger pants soon if I keep up baking like this.
