Things to remember...

While cruising the Internet and putting down Braylon for the night, I ran across this... (here it the link to its original resting place)

This hit me hard.

Today was a rough day. Colin had a lot of work to get done for the academy tomorrow. I needed to clean the house, finish putting up Christmas and get prepared for my interview tomorrow.

Braylon had a different idea. It was not that he was bad by any means. Just a normal 14 month old boy. I tired to get him to help me clean. He would do well for a while and then he would get fussy. Or he would do something that was completely what a 14 month would do. I was working on cleaning his tub and had it filled with water and white vinegar. I went to go dust Braylon's and the guest bedrooms and come back into the bathroom where I see the remote to our bed in the tub. We have a sleep number and that remote is the only thing that makes the chambers adjust firmness wise. Now we have to get another remote. Oh well, not a big deal but still frustrating.

When I saw this poster on the Internet, I brought back reality to me. I really need to focus on enjoying him and playing with him more. I need to not care that I had to re-clean the house three times today because of the mess made. Granted I have not cleaned since last week, I vacuum and pick up, wipe down the table and counter almost every day or every other day. I need to remember to take a step back and breath. He will only be this little once and I need to treat him and react to him appropriately for his age.

I never would have guess that I would grow and change as much as he has. It is amazing what this little people, with so little life experience, re-teach you about the world and life.
