I think we are ready

Last night we hosted our very first party/get togehter at the new house. Like always I was stressed because I wanted everything to go smoothly. I wanted everyone to like each other, everyone to have someone to talk to and enough good food for all to keep on enjoying. I would have to say that after taking inventory of the night, all was accomplished! The group that came over was my mommy friends, Stephanie, Melinda, Kim and Sarah, their kids and husbands. Then there was Colin's old work partner Alex and his girl friend Felicia and Colin's two firefighter friends, there wives and ones two little boys. All in all we had sixteen adults and seven children. Needless to say it was a full house! All of the kids had a blast playing with each other. Well all of them expect for Braylon. Braylon just wanted to be held by daddy and to be everywhere he was. He did play for a little bit with Sebastian but that was pretty much the extent of it all.

Without it being the plan, last night ended up being a great trial run for the impending first birthday party that will be happening in a little over an month. I learned that we definitely NEED more table space for everyone to sit at and the Mac and Cheese is the PERFECT kid food. The little ones were in love! At one point I had four boys sitting around me all sharing some. The cutest part was that they were very patient for their turn but if I took a little too long in getting them their bit they made sure to tell me to speed it up. I would have to say that it was a great night! Thank you to everyone who brought amazing dishes! The dip, salad and dessert were to die for! I think I may just have it for leftovers now! And thank you for the night for being a reassuring dry run that Braylon's birthday party is going to be a rocking good time!
