Traditions

Today is the start of the family tradition season. For the past two years Thanksgiving has been a hard day for me. This is my fathers FAVORITE holiday. He absolutely loved this holiday. I remember everything that went with this day for him. We would always get pies from Maire Calenders. We would make a spice cake because Tyler does not like pies. We would spend the whole day snacking, watching the parade and football games. With him no longer around it has been hard to get excited for this day, until this year. This year it is Braylon's first Thanksgiving. He gets to start to enjoy the fun that comes with the holidays. I am excited to have traditions with him that he will remember when he is grown.

Today for the holiday we are having a small family dinner. Colin, me, Braylon and Colin's mom had homemade french toast to start the day off. Later we will be having turkey and all the sides and two very yummy looking pies. Tomorrow Braylon and I will be on a plane to California to spend the remainder of the weekend with my family. On Saturday we will have a family dinner and will take our traditional family pictures for the Christmas cards. Braylon will be meeting his aunt and uncles for the first time and his cousin Mattie. It is going to be a busy weekend for us!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Oh a sad news update. Most of Braylons newborn clothes no longer fit :( He is now in size 0-3 months. Considering that he is 10 weeks today he should be in that size. But I am sad to pack away his clothes already. He is getting so big!
