Potty Potty

We are NOT the kind of parents who are all into potty training. Part of it for me is that I have siblings where I remember potty training. I was ten and twelve when it was time for them. I understand that it is a process and one that Braylon has to be ready for. If he is not ready then there is no point to attempt this. Colin and I are both 'wait for Braylon to show interest' parents. And this goes for all aspects of our life. We are not pushers. When he is ready he will tell and show us. Around Christmas we bought him a potty. At first we had it downstairs and he would just use it as a chair to sit on. Then we moved it up to his bathroom. Sometimes before his bath he sits on it and sometimes he doesn't. More than anything he is in the bathroom when we use it. TMI alert, he tries to wipe us and tells us that we are going potty. But really this is where it usually ends. He will tell us after he poops. Recently, Braylon kept telling Colin potty potty. So Colin asked him if he had to go and Braylon nodded his head yes. So Colin put him on the potty. He did a little bit of pooping in there. Nothing big, but I see that he starting to move in the direction of at least knowing when he has to go and when he is dirty.

Oh and of course I had to get some black mail photos. I mean is that part of being a parent. Embarrassing photos to show future girlfriends...

  1. Love it! I like how he can sit on the big toilet and be fine. Audrey would fall right in!
