An Impromptu Day Off

This morning started off like any other Monday. We woke up, got ready and headed on our way to daycare and work. I was running a little later than usual, but nothing bad. So we pull into SpringStones drive way and things appear to be deserted. And then I saw the sign on the door. The power had gone out and therefore it was closed. The director offered for me to take Braylon to their sister school, which happens to be seconds from our house in Rio Rancho. So I text my boss and explained what happened. The text I get back it a simple see you tomorrow. Have i ever mentioned that I have the best boss! I had briefly thought of taking Braylon over to the other center, but he does not do well with change. When he gets a new aid in the class it takes him a few weeks to adjust. I was worried that he was going to have a hard day involving lots and lots of tears. And then I would be stressed all day at work. It just was not worth it. So Braylon and I had a play day. We came home ate some oatmeal, watched some Dinosaur train and then headed over the Sarah and Audrey's house. Braylon spent an hour playing with all of her toys. And Audrey just let him have free range. After a little bit of time we packed up and headed to the splash park. It was the first time since Braylon has been walking that we made it there. And lets say the kiddos had a BLAST. Melinda and Tanner were even able to meet up with us too!

It really was a great day. I had so much fun with my little boy. I love being able to experience all of this with him!
