Oh where have you gone?

That is to nap time I mean. It seems like just yesterday, okay so maybe last week, that Braylon was a champion napper. He would nap for about two hours in the morning, two hours in the afternoon and then a little evening siesta after dinner before bed. Now I am lucky if I get an hour in the morning, usually it is when I am on my run. I have to time it that way so I can get my run finished, but it leaves me no time to do anything around the house. The afternoon nap has become a fight. It takes forever to put him down. If I am quite and keep holding him then I might get another hour. But once again I have to hold him and nothing gets done. Not that I have a lot to do, but I hate clutter and all his toys and the dishes make for a lot of clutter in this tiny apartment. I would love to be able to pick up or mop the floor. But no it seems that Braylon has different plans. His night nap is getting closer and closer to bed time. On a many of nights we have had to wake him up at nine and wear him out again so that he can be back to bed at ten-thirty or so. Since separation anxiety has set in that naps have gone bye-bye.

Now forget the concept of a nap if we are not at home! If we are out and about doing something or if we are visiting friends then nope he will not nap. When we go to visit family this lasts for about three days and then he crashes hard but man those three days are hard! It wears mommy down. I am hoping that this upcoming trip to family does not go as I see it happening. We are spending time with my aunts and uncles for three days before heading up to Fresno. I hope we only have one three day period of no naps and not six days. For some reason I have a feeling that it will be the six day option. Well, at least Grandma will be there! We are going to have to tag team if it we are to survive!

He is so interested in the world and discovering EVERYTHING that he does not want to close his eyes for even a second. I love that he is interested in so much but I would also love a nap and a little break. Needless to say I a praying that nap time returns and does so quickly!
