Gingerbread Houses

Last night we did our annual gingerbread houses. Over the years this holiday tradition has evolved into a competitive sport. It began as a good time with each of us putting together our own and has transformed into teams, with blueprints, meetings weeks in advance of the event, name calling and even sabotage. Because my older brother Jordan spent close to 10 hours last year putting together his house this year we decided that there has to be a time limit. If the house was not done in 4 hours nothing more could be done. Our teams were Tyler and Carson, Me and Alyx and Jordan, Sabrina and Sam. Uncle Bob and Paige came over to help so Bob was on Tyler and Carson's team and Paige was on mine and Alyx's team. We all finished in the time allowed and the houses turned out pretty nice.  Next year Braylon and Liam will be on their own team. That is going to be interesting. I have a feeling that more candy than what is placed on the house will be eaten that night. However, I bet those boys are going to LOVE it!
